Water
Whilst we use relatively little water, we are conscious of the need to conserve this resource, particularly in water stressed areas such as the South East of England, and continue to search for additional methods for improving efficiencies in this area. Our water use in 2007 is summarised in the tables below.
We continue to explore opportunities to reduce water usage through adopting best practice in the design of new centres. In Oxford Westgate, for example, we are incorporating rainwater harvesting into the development’s design. Where appropriate, we will also retrofit water saving devices into existing buildings during refurbishment or re-modelling.
