Ruth Pavey - Assistant Company Secretary

Ruth PaveyAn example of our policy of supporting employees in their professional development and promoting them internally wherever possible is Ruth Pavey, recently promoted to the role of Assistant Company Secretary in the group’s busy Head Office Secretariat.

The Secretariat is involved in matters such as corporate transactions; circulars to shareholders; employee benefits; administration for some 220 subsidiary companies in the group; Board and Committee meetings and corporate governance.

Ruth joined Liberty International in February 2004 as Company Secretarial Assistant. Ruth has a degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, and had completed her professional examinations to qualify as a chartered secretary with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) just before joining us.

Through a combination of on the job and professional training Ruth developed quickly and gained experience and in April 2007 Ruth was promoted to Senior Company Secretarial Assistant, and given responsibility for managing one member of the team.

In December 2007 we were delighted to promote Ruth again, when an opportunity arose upon an employee leaving the team, to Assistant Company Secretary. Ruth is now responsible for managing a small team, reports directly to the Company Secretary and has become a much valued member of the Secretariat.

“I am extremely proud of Ruth’s achievements in a relatively short time to become Assistant Company Secretary. She has risen to the challenge with enthusiasm and determination and makes a vital contribution to the smooth running of the department.” The Company Secretary.

Charlie Griffiths BSc (Hons) MRICS - Assistant Property Manager to Property Manager

Our Property Managers are part of a team dedicated to the effective management of our investment properties.

“It has been a pleasure to watch Charlie develop, both personally and professionally, during his time at CSC. Charlie is a much valued member of our property management team and I am sure he will continue to meet every new challenge.” Caroline Kirby, Asset Management Director.
