Crisis accommodation at Christmas

Capital & Counties contributed to making Christmas special for some people in Central London. It made available five floors of a vacant office building at 10/16 Maltravers Street WC2 to Crisis, the charity supporting homeless people.

This allowed Crisis to provide accommodation for some 200 homeless people and 150 volunteers for a three-week period over Christmas and the New Year. The event was considered a great success and enabled Crisis to deliver better services than sometimes has been the case in the past. Examples of what Crisis was able to provide include; 36000 meals, 1100 sets of new clothes and 300 pairs of new spectacles.

Crisis provided additional aid, making available medical / dental checks and access to publicly funded interventions such as housing and financial support which can help such individuals towards a more stable and self-sufficient lifestyle.
